<datacite:description descriptionType="Abstract">This problem, Two-stage Decision Making is well known as Monty Hall Dilemma (MHD).
Not only most people try to solve the vague problems intuitively, but they scarcely can switch the result brought by their intuition. If they are given feedback, which is “better to switch”, how much feedback would they need to master and notice their mistakes, then could they change their first selection? If they are shown the different number of doors, would it affect them in their decision making? And dose their anxiety peculiarity correlate their switching action toward their first selection? To examine these questions, I carried out PC test on MHD(3cards problem・6cards problem). For the particularization of the anxiety peculiarity of the examinees, I carried out A-trait
of Inventory State Trait Anxiety , after done PC test. Totally 50 under graduates (M: 28, F: 22) participated in the examination. I made three-way factorial mixed analysis of variance as a token of the independent variable which is 2(3cards・6cards)×2(the low・the high in the anxiety)× 5(block). I repeated the analyses 60 times to check whether they switched or stuck at the time of their second opportunity. I divided the total 60 analyses into 5 blocks. I settled the dependent variable as the average of the number of switching in each block.
Consequently, what all the examinations proved to us is that High anxiety group arrives at the correct solutions faster than Low anxiety group. Because the more often High anxiety group changes their selections, the more positive feedback brings them the correct solutions.</datacite:description>
