小学校理科を教えることに“自信\"のある教員の養成システムを構築するのが,新生の私学で小学校教員養成(理科)を担う教員の重要な実践的課題であり,研究すべきテーマであると位置づけた.理科の土台は,小学校3~6 年間の理科という授業に依存すると思ったのは,元の大学の小学校教員免許のための理科教材研究で,文系理系関わらず,模擬授業に混乱した学生を見たときから である.小学校の理科教育は,子どもたちの一生の理科を規定する時期ではないかと思うようになった.最近教育現場では,どちらかというと理科を教えることが苦手な先生が多いという報告があるが,教員養成段階ではそのことはあまりあってはならない,すなわち克服すべきであろう. 小学校の教員養成の理科の学習内容の確認材料として,教科書,学習指導要領の冊子,観察・実験レシピ集など完備している.ところが小学校の教員には,全教科を教えることが義務づけられ,そのために全教科の教育法をものにしなければならないだろうが,これも大変である.最近話題になっているコアカリキュラムの検討も求められるだろう. そこで,今回の議論の狙いは,以下の点に重点をおいた. 1) 地域連携による模擬授業評価: 2) 学年間の相互検討: 3) 実験準備室の充実: 4) 実験支援員の役割: 5) 実験室での規則の順守・授業マナーの向上: 6) 実験準備室全体の費用の確保: 7) 他者の意見の聴取(来客者の模擬授業への誘導)・授業公開・学生の耐性醸成: 8) 外部資料の活用(日本はかなり資料・人財が充実した国である)・活用法は?: 昨年度の紀要では別の8 点を中心に議論した.自分の模擬授業へのメモのような舌足らずの表現であったが,多くの外部の方々にも積極的に読んでもらった.粗削りな文章ではあるが,模擬授業に興味は持っていただけ,多くの方々がボランテイアとして参加してくださった.解らないところを修正したのが本年の新8 項目である. すでに報告した8 個の重点的な取り組みは1),2),今回は新たな視点で大学の教育として講義する中では,我々の学科のように幼保の免許取得の養成教育も行いながら,小学校の免許を付与するという中での,小学校教員養成の中の理科のあり方は実施途中であり,方向や方針と,教育実習を小学校も経験済みでの途中経過であるが少し実践が深まったので,今回の新たな課題を8
