| 内容記述 | This study examined the relationship between secondary control (SC), primary control (PC),degree of appraisal of the COVID-19 pandemic as a stressor, and sense of authenticity in a sample of 85 undergraduate university students. I investigated whether SC and PC related with the stressor and authenticity, and mediated the association between them. Results revealed that, the more participants perceived the COVID-19 pandemic as a stressor impacting their lives significantly, or the less they perceived that no one can control it, the more positive thinking of SC was reported. Additionally, the more they perceived the COVID-19 as a stressor impacting them negatively, more PC was reported. Next, higher positive thinking and situational acceptance in SC resulted in higher sense of authenticity being reported. Furthermore, SC mediated the process by which the stressor affected and enhanced authenticity independently of PC. The relationship between SC and authenticity, PC in stressful situations were discussed. |
