| 内容記述 | Emotions are known to be controlled by certain brain regions, such as the hypothalamus and frontal lobe. Striatum consists of the caudate nucleus and putamen, and the caudate nucleus is known to be involved in mental functions such as emotions. This study examined whether thigmotaxis is observed in rats with caudate nucleus lesions and whether it was caused by emotional changes. The resultsindicated that the frequency of head dips in the lesioned group was smaller than in the control group, and the time before the first head dip was longer. Based on the results above, it is considered that the frequency of head dips decreased in the lesioned group because of emotional changes and the increase in anxiety caused by the destruction of the caudate nucleus. Moreover, the total moving distance and the total ratio of moving distance was larger in the lesioned group, compared to the control group. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
